A Word From Our New Children’s Director

DEAR PARENTS,

I wanted to take this moment and introduce myself. My name is Jason Reak and I am excited to be the new Children’s Director at Hillsdale Baptist Church! My wife, Kayla, and I have been attending Hillsdale for roughly 10 years, and I am passionate about working with children. I look forward to teaching your children the Word and co-laboring with you to grow their faith and relationship in the Lord.

I, along with my wife, Kayla, will create a godly, fun, and encouraging environment that your child/children can spiritually thrive in. My wife and I are committed to building a relationship with you; please feel free to contact me at jreak@hillsdalebaptist.org if you have any questions or concerns, as well as if you would like to volunteer your time in the children’s ministry at Hillsdale as you follow the Lord’s leading.

HILLSDALE BAPTIST CHURCH

Sunday School (9:15-10:25am)

Each Sunday morning, Hillsdale offers programs for children from infants through the 6th grade.

    • Nursery – 9:15 to 11:45 AM
    • Children’s Choir – 9:15 – 9:35 AM
    • Children’s Sunday School Classes – 9:35-10:25 AM

Infants and children up to two years of age may be taken directly to the nursery, where they will remain for the duration of Sunday School and the morning service.

Children from K3 through 6th grade may be taken directly upstairs to the sign in table on the second floor.  Here they will be split into a younger choir (K3-K5) and an older choir (1st-6th).

The Choirs will be led to their respective rehearsal space.  Both choirs will be given the chance to perform in a Sunday morning service on a rotating basis usually every six weeks.

Following choir, children from K3 to 6th grade will then divide into their respective Sunday School classes:

    • K-3/K-4 K-5
    • Grades 1-2 Boys
    • Grades 3-4 Girls
    • Grades 3-6 Boys
    • Grades 5-6

Children’s Church (10:30-11:45 am)

    • K3 – 3rd grade
    • 4th – 6th grade  – OPTIONAL

Following Children’s Sunday School classes, grades K5-3rd will be directed to the Fellowship Hall for participation in Children’s Church.

Children in grades 4th-6th may be picked up by their parents to participate in the worship service.

Following the morning service parents may pick up their children in the Fellowship Hall.
